It Started In The Manger by Edith Bikisoni

*Luke 2:7 And she brought forth her firstborn Son,and wrapped Him in swaddling cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn . (KJV)*


No one expected that the King would be born on a lowly place(manger) , a private hospital where the mother and his son would be pampered. The birth of Jesus Christ was not to go unnoticed and the angel appeared to the wise men and they were afraid and the angels shared the good tidings to them and they left their country to see it for themselves,so that the word would be fulfilled according to *Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign, Behold the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son and shall call His name Immanuel*


In their natural understanding the only place where Kings will be born is in a palace but in this case they were wrong God heard other plans and Herod called the wise men as if he would want to worship this King and say if you find him please come back and tell me were he is. *Isaiah 9:6 for us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given. And the government will be upon His shoulders, and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father , Prince of Peace* He came clothed with so much authority. He carries peace and Herod was focusing on worldly Kingship he didn't know that Jesus was greater than that.


The angel appeared to Mary and she was honoured to carry the mission and Joseph had other plans before the angel also come to him  . Elizabeth and Zachariah were also remembered so that we would enjoy the fruit of being a Christian today. 


Christmas is not about Santa  Claus 🎅 . It's about the birth of the Master. We have been corrupted by marketing thinking Christmas is about christmas trees and gifts . It's about the birth of Jesus Christ. It's time to thank God for allowing his Son to be born so that he can also redeem us

Indeed God is our refuge and present help in times of need. I have seen it all in this life but all glory to Jesus Christ the author and perfector of my faith.
